About Nicki James Shepherd
Nicki James Shepherd is an English, Burnley born, film and television actor with Cerebral Palsy. He is best known for his portrayal of the character ’Ted’ (2018) in the British television soap Emmerdale. Prior to his appearances on the soap, Nicki was cast in several smaller roles, in TV, Film and Ad campaigns – including ‘Phil Folelmere’ in CBBCs The 4 o’Clock Club.

Growing up in Burnley, Nicki showed an early interest in acting. Despite the challenges posed by Cerebral Palsy, his determination and passion for the arts were evident. He honed his skills at the Carol Godby Theatre School in Bury, where he trained in screen acting. Before making his way into television acting, Nicki trained in screen acting at the Carol Godby Theatre School in Bury. He also appeared in several small youth theatre performances.
